Kiran Joseph Schwaebe explores traditional pottery and casting techniques trying to bring the history of the craft into the modern age. Through movement and gesture, he attempts to explore themes of dynamism and passage of time, one not being able to exist without the other. Kiran, being a third culture child and a creation of globalisation, takes aesthetics from different cultures such as the Balinese and his own Western European ancestry. He seeks to create works of the world that he has experienced, unlimited by a singular culture.
